Terms

Effective November 7, 2026.

These terms apply to modernize.flexplat.com, flexplat.com and our demo sites, the Free plan (including the free pilot), the free first 30 days of a paid plan, and the free conversion of an agency's own website under the Partner Program. "We" and "FlexPlat" mean Bin Gu (known as Rickey Gu), operating as FlexPlat, Merced #838-A, Oficina 117, Santiago Centro, Santiago, Chile. You can reach us at [email protected].

If you accept on behalf of a company or a client, you confirm that you're allowed to do so.

1. The website and the open-source software

You can read and use our website freely. Don't attack it or try to disrupt it.

The Flx Modernize plugin and the published renderer packages are free software under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. That license governs the code, and nothing here limits your rights under it. We sell building, hosting, updates and support, not the code.

2. What these terms cover

We build a Node.js renderer for a WordPress site. WordPress remains the site's CMS.

The Free plan includes:

  • one site per developer or agency, hosted by FlexPlat;
  • up to 10,000 page views a month;
  • "Powered by FlexPlat" in your home page footer.

The pilot is the Free plan for the first ten sites, with more of our attention while we learn. Neither costs anything, and we don't ask for a card.

A paid plan starts with 30 days free on your live site, hosted by us. An agency we approach can have its own website converted free and use it for 30 days before deciding on the Partner Program. These terms cover those 30 days. Before you pay for anything, we send you the terms for what you're buying.

We tell you whether we accept a site. We can decline any site, and builds happen in order, a few each week.

3. What you do

  • Make sure you own the site or have its owner's permission.
  • Give us a staging copy with customer data and other personal data removed. Don't send passwords we don't need, or payment details.
  • Keep your own backups of your site. We don't back it up for you.
  • Install the plugin, add the signing key and keep them in place while you use the service.
  • Keep the footer credit in place while you're on the Free plan.
  • Deal with your own visitors under your own privacy policy, and mention this service in it where the law requires. See section 5 of our Privacy page.
  • Don't use the service for anything illegal, or for content that infringes other people's rights.

4. Feedback and publishing (pilot)

In the pilot, you agree to:

  • give us honest feedback after 30 days;
  • let us publish your site's name and its before-and-after results, including the match score and comparison screenshots.

We use a quote from you only if you approve its wording. You can ask us to remove your site's name or quote later, and we'll do so within a reasonable time. We can't recall what third parties have already copied.

5. Your content

Your site and its content stay yours. You give us permission to copy, process and display them only as needed to build, test, host and support your renderer, and to publish what section 4 allows.

6. No guarantee

Everything these terms cover is provided as is and as available, to the extent the law allows. It's early-stage software. We don't promise that:

  • the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors;
  • your site will match its original look to any particular score (we aim for at least 70%, measured page by page);
  • any particular plugin will work;
  • your site will become faster, or rank differently in search engines.

If the renderer is unavailable, the plugin is designed to let WordPress serve the page. That doesn't cover every kind of failure. For example, a page can be served while its stylesheet fails to load in the browser.

7. Stopping

You can stop at any time by deactivating the plugin, which returns your site to normal WordPress. Then tell us so that we can remove your renderer.

At the end of a free 30 days, you pay under the terms for what you're buying, move to the Free plan if your site qualifies, or we switch the renderer off and WordPress serves your pages as before.

We can end the Free plan or the pilot for your site, or stop offering them, with at least 60 days' notice by email. We can suspend any of them immediately if it's being abused, if it threatens security or our other users, or if the law requires it.

When hosting ends, deactivate the plugin. You can ask us for your renderer's code, which is free software under the GPL. We then delete your staging copy as our Privacy page describes.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, because what these terms cover is free:

  • we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business;
  • our total liability for anything connected with it is limited to USD 100.

Nothing here removes rights or liability that the law doesn't allow to be excluded.

9. Changes

We can update these terms. We'll change the date above, and we'll email you about important changes if you're using the service. If you don't accept a change, you can stop as section 7 describes.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Disputes go to the courts of Santiago, Chile, unless the law where you live gives you rights that can't be waived.
